Soap Bar and Package

To begin, you'll need a few things. First thing we'll grab, is the great "Fight This" font, available for free. Then, download the beatiful wood texture pack from ~ncrow on deviantART: Texture Wood Pack 01.

Once you've downloaded these, we can start.

Create a new document, 800 x 450. Open the texture you downloaded (I used Wood 03), select all and copy, then paste it in the new document we just created. Resize the wood texture to fit nicely inside the document.

Now, grab the rounded rectangle tool, choose ~45px rounded radius, and create a shape as shown below.

To style the bar, we'll play around with the layer blending options. Follow the steps below:

You should have this by the time you've applied all the styles.

We're almost there, but we need to add some realism to this. On the next page, we'll do some basic shading.
